Matt Marietta
Ex-professional poker player turned marketing executive. Former CMO of ExpressVPN and Cloudbet. Matt sees the world through probabilities, incentives, and risk management — and has been putting real money behind those views for over a decade.
He's been banned from multiple sportsbooks (they don't love it when you win too often) and has a ten-year election betting winning streak that he's very happy to tell you about. Matt brings the sharp analysis, the framework thinking, and the occasional reminder that the house always has an edge — unless you find one first.
Andrew G.
Andrew went from clearing landmines in post-conflict zones to clearing a path through the restaurant industry. He's the voice behind Family Meal, a Substack newsletter that serves up restaurant industry news to thousands of chefs, restaurateurs, and food obsessives every week.
A marketer by trade, an AI tinkerer by compulsion, and a newly minted prediction market enthusiast by association with Matt. Andrew brings the bold bets, the trading bots, and the curiosity to try anything once — even if it means learning the hard way on air.
How the Show Started
Matt has been gambling — strategically, he'd argue — his entire life. Poker, sports, elections, prediction markets. Andrew has been watching, occasionally joining in, and mostly asking questions. Somewhere along the way they realized these conversations were too good to keep private.
World at Odds started as a simple idea: take the way Matt and Andrew already talk about the world — through the lens of odds, probability, and incentives — and hit record. It's not a tips-and-picks show. It's two friends thinking out loud about anything you can put a number on: elections, AI, sports, geopolitics, and the occasional argument about whether aliens have already been confirmed by the US government.
The goal isn't to win the argument — it's to win in the long run.
