What is Poker Flips?

Poker Flips is an iPhone app with 7 original poker card games you play with friends. Two ways to play: pass-and-play on one phone around a table, or online rooms your friends join with a 4-letter code. Friends join from any browser, no app needed.

Download Poker Flips on the App Store iPhone, iOS 15 or later · released August 21, 2026

The important thing is you can now play poker with friends and keep score without chips. One running score follows your group across games and sessions, so the argument about who's actually ahead has a permanent, neutral referee. (We're bettors. We know exactly how that argument goes.)

Most of these are our own games, worked out over years of real home games rather than designed on paper. Kansas Hold'em came first, out of a group of friends playing flips for drinks in Finland in 2009. The rest followed the same way. They shipped to the App Store on August 21, 2026 as Poker Flips v1.0, and full rules for each are going up here so there's a public record of what each game is and where it came from.

The 7 games

Seven games. Full rules for each are going up as their own pages.

Open Omaha

Omaha with every hole card face up. You know exactly what beats you, and so does everyone else. Full rules.

Kansas Hold'em

Three hands. One winner. You play Texas, Pineapple and Omaha at the same time off one shared board, and you only need to win two of them. Full rules.

Patong Poker

The flop, turn and river are three separate contests worth a point each, and first to two takes the round. Full rules.

222

Three Texas hands, and you discard your way down to one. Picking which hand to keep is the whole game. Full rules.

2 Omaha Hands

Two Omaha hands with a discard decision. Double the starting combinations, one survivor.

3 Omaha Hands

Same idea, three hands deep. More options, more ways to talk yourself into the wrong one.

Triple Draw

Three draws, played 2-7 lowball or high. Three chances to tear up what you're holding and start again.
